Another great time had by all!

Sept 7/8 was this year’s dates for Murray’s Irving Driver Appreciation days. This year the weather cooperated for the most part. Scores of drivers and industry folks took part in the BBQ and festivities.

All drivers that came thru on those days received prizes and were treated to lunch and coffee and donuts. They were also able to put their name in for some bigger prizes like a big screen TV. On Sept 8 we also hosted our Second Annual golf Tournament. The weather was beautiful and a good time was had by all.  Congrats to this year’s winners from County Line trucking. It was a shame that nobody was able to take home the hole in one prize which was a 2011 Dodge Ram.  Over $7000.00 was raised for charity and will be split between Hayward House in Woodstock and The Kids Help Phone. Congrats to Mark Turvey at Bestway Transport on winning this year’s 4 Wheeler.

 

I personally would like to thank everybody who participated in this year’s events. A special thank you goes out to Ginelle Martin, Donna Donnelly, Carl Fiander, Jean Marc Picard, France Gagnon and Micheline Babineau for all your help. The Murray’s staff was great as always. 2010

On Sept 8 - 9, 2010 Murray's Irving was proud to host theIr annual Driver Appreciation Days. Both days were were jammed full with people eating, talking with industry reps and getting a lot of good prizes. The rain we had did nothing to dampen the fun that was held on both days. On Sept 9 Murray's had the pleasure of hosting a golf tournament in Hartland. Along with Donnelly Farms, Palmer Atlantic and the APTA we had a tremendous time and all the golfers received prizes and were treated to a steak BBQ. The best part of this was that we raised over $6700 to be split between the Local food bank (Volunteer Services) and JDRF. A big congratulations to Brian Fox, driver for Reg J. Simmonds, for winning this years 4 wheeler. I would also like to personally thank all the sponsors and volunteer's for all they did to make both events a success. Thanks to the Murray's Irving staff and a big shout out to Carl Fiander (Palmer Atlantic), Ginelle Martin, Donna Donnelly (Donnelly Farms), Jean Marc Picard, France Gagnon APTA), for all your hard work in organizing this years events. On Sept 9th and 10th we had our annual TAD. The weather was perfect for both days. Hamburgers and hotdogs were served both days along with coffee,donuts, sandwiches and drinks. Congratulations to Peter Stafford for the grand prize of a new 2009 Honda 4 wheeler. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event a success. A big thank you goes to Ginelle Martin of Donnelly Farms who took time out of her schedule to help organize this event. We look forward to doing this again next year.
